I had hoped to finish my Alucard and Beth's Seras costume in time for Halloween this year--expecting to do well in the local costume contests--but due to some wonderful car problems I shan't get into, I lost over a day of working time and didn't get them done until Nekocon.

Alucard (and Seras) was a hit at Nekocon, garnering a number of admirers. Though well-received at the Hall Costume Contest, we didn't win for these two costumes, though my Alucard "groupies" gave me a warm fuzzy with by sending props via a loud shout of "Alucard" during the award announcements!

I think that had I had the time to finish the glasses properly and do Alucard's guns, I'd have placed--though not first; the winners were pretty darn impressive! Well, next year or next con; give me a bit of time off from working on it and I will add those last few details.
